Hey there. My name’s Daniel Purjes, Danny to friends. Hailing from New York City, I’ve lived in San Diego throughout my teen years and have since seen it as a second home. I’m currently in college, working on a degree in sports management.
I’ve been an avid fan of all things sports since I was a boy. Back in New York, I was a pitcher in little league games and had a small shrine to the Yankees consisting of vintage posters, collectibles, and baseball cards in my bedroom. Although I’ve only been able to play baseball sporadically since then (a bit more so after we moved to suburban California), I am still an avid fan of America’s pastime.
Today, I continue to follow major league baseball and had also become a fan of college basketball and football. In my spare time, I also play fantasy sports, a hobby that had at times felt like a crash course in math and Microsoft Excel. I still collect baseball cards.
